Ask questions about them and listen carefully. Show concern for their feelings and interests. Be aware of body language. Make eye contact and smile.

    If you can’t say anything positive, at least give the impression that you are interested in what they are saying. Avoid talking too much during negotiations. It makes you appear uninterested and rude.

    Before starting a negotiation, you should build rapport with the other party. Try to establish trust by being friendly and showing interest in them.

    Use non-threatening phrases such as “I like your idea” or “I agree with you.” These statements will help you get closer to the other party and build a good relationship.

    Asking for something in return builds trust between you and the other party. You should always ask for something in exchange for your offer.

    > Communication


    It’s important to communicate effectively throughout the entire negotiation process. Use gestures and facial expressions to convey your emotions. Make sure that both parties understand exactly what you mean. Don’t use vague words. Speak slowly and clearly.

    Jargon is difficult to understand. It also makes people think that you aren’t serious about the negotiation.
